Please join ILSA and FSOMA as we present an Ethics class being offered by

Judith Schlaeger, PhD, CNM, LAc, FAAN.

“History and Development of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the Protection of Human Subjects”

The purpose of the lecture is to explore our:

-Ethical obligations to patients

-Dual Role of investigator and treating clinician

-Obligation to protect human subjects

-Rigor in research

Dr. Schlaeger is Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Nursing. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Certified Nurse Midwife, and an NIH funded pain researcher.
