This weekend course will be two days of instruction for insurance billing and documentation instruction. This class is for practitioners who have no experience billing insurance or have been doing it with “limited” success.  Mori will be teaching exactly what insurance carriers want to see and what practitioners should submit to them.  She will teach how to bill insurance and do it right – the first time! This class will provide students with many resources such as coding cheat sheets, carrier policy bulletins, privacy practices for office use.  In this class, students will learn how to verify patient benefits as well as best office practices for taking insurance. Students will learn how to understand what is involved with network participation and the advantages and disadvantages of going “in-network” with a carrier. Also, how to submit claims electronically, how to re-file or resubmit claims if a mistake the first time. Mori will share the E/M coding changes that will be taking place in 2020- and will make sure YOU are ready for these changes which are coming soon! During this seminar, Mori will provide information on the new Medicare policy and how it affects acupuncturists and the future of acupuncturists in the Medicare system.  Along with updated information on the VA CCN program.  Plus National news affecting acupuncturists as well as the work being done by the ASA Insurance Committee. Throughout the class, Mori will share tips and tricks she has learned over the years to make insurance billing and documentation an easy process for practitioners and their staff. After taking this class students will have the confidence of knowing every claim submitted WILL be processed.
